With regard to the origin of the Maxical family, it dates back to the 1930s, with Manuel Pinto as its precursor until the 1950s. From then on, his son-in-law, Abílio Antunes Pereira, began the development of lime production, extending to 1959, date of his death.
In these years, this gentleman gave a lot of work to people from the nearest places, having been a great energizer, who took the name of this region to many areas of the country (Lisbon, Setúbal, Figueira da Foz, Guarda, Castelo Branco, Viseu, Coimbra and many other regions).
